This workshop will assist students to build the knowledge, skills and confidence to assist someone who has experienced sexual harm. The session is aimed at Student Leaders, UniMentors and Ambassadors but all students and staff are welcome.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Undertstand gender-based violence, the drivers, and know how common it is in the university setting
• Identify victim-blaming attitudes and understand the impact on victim/survivors
• Know how to respond and refer after a disclosure, while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Explain key services at UWA and externally
• Make a plan for looking after yourself as a first responder
